What addons do you use while raiding?
Omen, Recount, DBM, Hunter toolbars, GTFO

What are your computer specs? Average ping?

Dell Inspiron 5755 Laptop
Windows 10
12GB RAM
AMD A8-7410 APU @ 2.20 Ghz

We use Discord for our guild's voice chat during raids. It is required for any organized event or activity the guild runs. You must have a working mic and headphones are preferred. Is any of this going to be a problem?
Nope.

Do you have an Authenticator?
Yeah

Post some Warcraft Logs or Ask Mr Robot logs here

Do you know your class well enough to teach it to someone else? Prove that you are as good as we expect. Go into as much or as little detail about what makes someone a master of your current class/spec, and show us how that is reflected in your own logs.
Hunters are your most basic of ranged dps as far as rotations are concerned, but also can be the most versatile ranged dps class, as they have the ability to use pets to tank/damage enemies if chosen the Beast Mastery spec (All spec's in reality, but BM is the best pet dps class. Each pet has special abilities and buffs it gives the Hunter and his party/raid group.) Hunters also have better abilities to kite enemies away from the tank/raid. There's really no certain way to "master" this class - it's pretty straight forward in the PvM world.

This could be a completely different scenario in the PvP world, which I never do, aside from world PvP.

Can probably tweak this some, this is my tired as heck-lazy summary.

What made you consider applying to ICNH?
I was contacted in-game, after advertising that I was looking for a dedicated raiding guild to progress through Mythic and Legion. The raid times worked well for me & I was quickly welcomed in.

Tell us about your last guild. Why did you leave and why are you choosing us over them? Do you have anyone who can vouch for you?
It was just a random guild I joined upon returning to WoW. It was just a casual guild, never raided or anything. It's leaders have been inactive for the past month or so.

Tell us about your raiding history and whether or not you have had any leadership or roles of responsibility in previous raid groups / guilds.
Before quitting a few years back, the guild I was in progressed through Heroic SoO, Ulduar, and ICC, don't think heroic was a thing back in Karazhan days, but this was on a different toon. Aside from starting/leading pugs, no leadership roles of sort.

How well do you handle criticism and instruction?
I am fully aware that there is always something you can do to better your performance or be beneficial to the raid as a whole. I'm always looking for ways to tweak my actions/habits in a raid group to better my overall performance and the smoothness of the raid.

What secondary specs or alternative characters do you feel you play at a similar level to your main? Do you have sufficient gear to be raid viable with these specs/characters? What recent experience do you have playing them? Would you be comfortable playing any of these alts as your main if you were accepted (Link the armory page of each applicable alt)?
I have a level 90 Ele/Resto Shaman, who hasn't been touched since before the release of WoD. I'm still undecided if I want to gear him up after my Hunter gets boring/capped.

We currently raid Wednesdays & Thursdays 8pm - 11pm CST. Is there anything that could possibly affect your attendance during these times and days?
Not at the moment.

Tell us about yourself. Show us the man/woman behind the character. Impress us, make us laugh. Convince us we want you in our guild. If you don't take the time to sell yourself, there's no reason for us to want to take you. We've worked hard to make this a great place to raid and demand incoming candidates prove they're committed to continuing that.

My name is Steven, I'm 23 from Indiana, USA. I've been off and on this game since 2005? I think. I'm easy-going, like to chill and have a good laugh, but can be serious when necessary. I've never been good at "telling about myself" and I've never sold myself before cause I'm not a hooker, I'm just here for the friendships and gear. :P If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Under review, thank you.

Some initial thoughts before the officers and I deliberate are:

  • We need a UI screenshot. Join LFR or something just to get a quick and dirty UI screenshot.
  • I'd love to know your thoughts on hunter-specific abilities like deterrence, misdirect, feign death and disengage and how you feel you can use them effectively on various encounters (be specific citing examples of bosses in HFC where certain abilities are useful).

Overall it looks like you put some time and thought into this and that is definitely appreciated. We'll update as soon as we discuss your application once we get the above two points covered by you.

Thanks.

Just a heads up it's been over a week since we've heard from you. If we don't hear from you by tonight before raid this application is going to be declined.

Thank you.
